About this playlist
The Symphogear antagonist playlist, drawn across all five seasons plus XD UNLIMITED. Two clusters carry its centre of gravity: the Bavarian Illuminati trio from AXZ (S4, 2017) and XV (S5, 2019), and the Carol Malus Dienheim arc from GX (S3, 2015) with its XDU-era duet extension.
The live three-track version holds the Bavarian Illuminati cluster. The Carol cluster and the Hibiki × Saint-Germain redemption duet are described below as the natural next additions — their Spotify URIs are identified in research notes but await verification before the live playlist gets updated. The expanded scope is named here so a reader gets the full picture of what belongs on this antagonist playlist, not only what currently sits in it.
The Bavarian Illuminati trio (currently live, 3 tracks)
- Saint-Germain — Minako Kotobuki
- Cagliostro — Shōta Aoi (蒼井翔太), the male voice actor; not to be confused with Aoi Yūki (悠木碧), who voices the protagonist Hibiki Tachibana
- Prelati — Rina Hidaka (日高里菜), the standard-kanji younger voice actress; not to be confused with Noriko Hidaka (日髙のり子), who voices the XV final antagonist Shem-Ha Mephorash
The trio’s full vocal output across the franchise is three full-length
trio tracks plus a fifty-second OST cut of the same melody, all
sharing the credit line サンジェルマン×カリオストロ×プレラーティ (CV: 寿美菜子×蒼井翔太×日高里菜):
- 死灯 -エイヴィヒカイト- (Shitō -Ewigkeit-) — AXZ episode 12 sacrifice insert, the trio’s “first and last song together.”
- 永輝 -エィヴィガーブント- (Eiki -Ewiger Bund-) — XD UNLIMITED reunion track, December 4, 2019. The “eternal bond” successor to Shitō’s “eternity.”
- Ewigkeit — the AXZ episode 1 fifty-second German a cappella intro that establishes the Bavarian Illuminati’s musical leitmotif before any of the trio is named on screen.
A fourth Bavarian-era track — the Hibiki redemption duet
A fourth Bavarian-era track sits on the line between this playlist and Aoi Yūki / Minako Kotobuki’s Symphogear-songs sub-playlists:
- 花咲く勇気 Ver. Amalgam (Hanasaku Yūki Ver. Amalgam) — XV episode 4 insert, the only wielder-villain duet in the franchise. Hibiki’s AXZ character song Hanasaku Yūki returns in XV with Saint-Germain joining her on vocals. The “Amalgam” subtitle is alchemy-termed, Saint-Germain’s discipline. First rehearsed at Symphogear Live 2018 as an Aoi × Kotobuki duet, then formalized into XV canon.
It’s the single most editorially load-bearing villain-cluster track,
and it’s already streaming-available. URI confirmed by

addition; pending Spotify-side update to the playlist of record.
The Carol Malus Dienheim cluster (3 tracks, URI-confirmed)
Carol is the GX-arc primary antagonist (S3, 2015). Unlike the Bavarian Illuminati’s trio-only configuration, Carol has a solo character-song catalog that runs across three eras: GX broadcast, XV flashback re-emergence, and XDU mobile-game cross-cast.
- 殲琴・ダウルダブラ (Senkin Daurudabura) — Carol’s signature solo
on GX Character Song #8 (KICM-3301, 2015-09-15). The GX-era
alchemy-as-arsenal anthem. Highest-bombast register; the season’s
villain-anthem analogue to Hibiki’s Gekisō Gungnir.

A separate VESPERBELL ヨミ cover exists on the IMAGINATION vol.410 YEARS TRIBUTEcompilation —spotify:track:4QAOoKmHgKZCEBvrk9zgJ6— bench-only, not the canonical Carol release. - スフォルツァンドの残響 (Sforzando no Zankyō) — XV episode 7
insert (broadcast 2019-01-08, CD release 2022-11-16 on KICA-2602~3
the XV Character Song Album). Carol’s quieter resigned register,
performed as flashback-memory. The emotional counterweight to
Senkin Daurudabura’s GX bombast.

XDU character-song single. Post-GX reconciliation register; the
protagonist-villain duet that the franchise produced for the mobile
era specifically.

All three URIs confirmed by agentic-spotify MCP search 2026-04-25. These tracks currently sit on Inori Minase’s Symphogear-songs sub-playlist. The site’s no-track-on-two-playlists rule applies to the non-Symphogear playlists — not to the in-franchise sub-playlists — so listing them on this villain playlist alongside their per-artist sub-playlist home is consistent. WE ARE THE FUTURE additionally sits on Aoi Yūki’s Symphogear-songs sub-playlist as a Hibiki cross-cast track. All 4 expansion URIs confirmed; pending Spotify-side playlist update to bring live track count from 3 → 7.
What “no further villains have music” means more precisely
The franchise has roughly two dozen named antagonists across five seasons plus XD UNLIMITED. The 3-to-7-track scope of this companion reflects three patterns in the catalog, not just the count of villain VAs.
First, the Symphogear character-song product line was designed around wielders. The KICM-3xxx character-song singles run one disc per Symphogear holder per season, which means that across five seasons, the only villain who received any character-song-album slot at all is Carol, whose GX role got KICM-3301 because the season needed an antagonist-anthem to counterbalance the wielder catalog. Adam Weishaupt (Shinichirō Miki, AXZ central villain), Fudō Kazanari (Mugihito, XV finale-arc master of Noble Red), Shem-Ha Mephorash (Noriko Hidaka, XV final antagonist), Dr. Ver (Tomokazu Sugita, G season anti-villain), Nastassja Shvarova (Kikuko Inoue, recurring maternal supporting), the GX Autoscorer trio (Shizuka Ishigami / Michiyo Murase / Shiori Izawa), and the XV Noble Red trio (Aimi / M.A.O / Kana Ichinose) all have zero in-franchise vocal output — verified across all character-song product lines, all OP / ED / insert credits, all OST volumes, all Symphogear Live event setlists. Each of those VAs has their own representative non-Symphogear playlist on the site; their villain-role contribution to this playlist is essay-only.
Second, the Bavarian Illuminati trio is the franchise’s one exception to the wielder-only character-song norm: AXZ produced Shitō -Ewigkeit- and the Ewigkeit short cut as villain-trio character songs, and XDU added Eiki -Ewiger Bund-. This is why the trio cluster is canonical here; without those three trio tracks, the franchise’s villain-side recorded output would be Carol-only.
Third, Maria Cadenzavna Eve (Yōko Hikasa), Shirabe Tsukuyomi (Yoshino Nanjō), and Kirika Akatsuki (Ai Kayano) have G-era character-song discs that were recorded while they were the F.I.S. antagonists — Dark Oblivion (Maria, the franchise’s English-language villain anthem), Ressō Gungnir (Maria’s G-era Gungnir-claim anthem), Ōkyo Shul Shagana (Shirabe), Gokuren Igalima (Kirika). The franchise’s product line classifies these as wielder character songs because the characters became wielders, but at recording-time the songs were villain-mode performances. They sit on Hikasa / Nanjō / Kayano’s Symphogear-songs sub-playlists by the wielder-classification convention; they’re named here so the reader’s mental model of “what counts as a Symphogear villain song” includes them.
Fourth, Finé (Miyuki Sawashiro), the all-series recurring antagonist whose consciousness reincarnates through hosts across every season, never sings in any of her host bodies. Possessed-host inserts (Maria’s G arias, Carol’s GX tracks, Saint-Germain’s AXZ trio cut) credit the host VA, not Sawashiro — a franchise design choice rather than a missing-data flag.
Coverage caveat: the XD UNLIMITED character-song catalog ran 2017-2024 with hundreds of in-game songs. The above accounting covers the XDU CS Album 1 / Album 2 / Album 3 series and the X-BRAVERS / Carol-side single. Smaller XDU mobile-only event-track releases have not been exhaustively enumerated; the “no further villain-credit tracks” claim is bounded by that unverified frontier.
Listening order (currently live)

2. 永輝 -エィヴィガーブント- (2019) · XDU-era trio reunion track
3. Ewigkeit (2017) · AXZ ep 1 villain-leitmotif intro
Listening order (URIs confirmed; pending live-playlist update)
1. 死灯 -エイヴィヒカイト- (2017) · AXZ ep 12 trio sacrifice insert
2. 花咲く勇気 Ver. Amalgam (2019) · XV ep 4 Hibiki × Saint-Germain redemption duet
3. 永輝 -エィヴィガーブント- (2019) · XDU-era trio reunion track
4. Ewigkeit (2017) · AXZ ep 1 villain-leitmotif intro
5. 殲琴・ダウルダブラ (2015) · GX CS#8 Carol's signature solo villain anthem
6. スフォルツァンドの残響 (2019/2022) · XV ep 7 Carol flashback insert
7. WE ARE THE FUTURE (XDU) · Hibiki × Carol post-GX reconciliation duet
The seven-track sequence traces the franchise’s villain-music arc chronologically by recording era: AXZ trio sacrifice → XV cross-cast redemption → XDU trio reunion → AXZ villain-leitmotif → GX solo anthem → XV solo flashback → XDU cross-cast duet. Each Bavarian track sits adjacent to a Carol track in the same era register, which is how the listener hears the two villain corpora as the twin pillars of the franchise’s antagonist music rather than as two separate slates.
